How much will my room cost?
At Hamstead Campus we have a wide range of properties to suit Undergraduates, Postgraduates and International Students, ranging from studios, to 6 bedroom flats. Our provisional prices for 2012/13 academic year are:

How long will my contract be?
We offer a 43 week contract which starts on 15 September 2012 and ends on 12 July 2013.
Alternatively we offer a 51 week contract which starts on 15 September 2012 and ends on 6 September 2013. A 5% discount is offered on 51 week contracts.
Is there a reservation fee?
A £150 reservation fee is required during the application process to secure the reservation. The £150 is deducted from the first term's rent. The reservation fee is payable by Paypal, bank transfer, credit card or debit card or by visiting the Accommodation Office with cash.
If you decide not to continue with your application within 14 days of having paid your reservation fee, your reservation fee will be refunded to you and your application cancelled.
Is there a security deposit?
No. We do not request a security deposit.
What does my rent include?
Your rent is all-inclusive and includes heating, hot water, electricity, contents insurance with Endsleigh and 10MB broadband, including IPTV.
What are the payment options?
Your rent can be paid in one amount before you move in and you will receive a 3% discount.
Alternatively you choose to pay in three termly instalments by Direct Debit. If you select this method of payment, you will need to complete a Direct Debit mandate and provide a guarantor. Your guarantor must be UK resident, be in employment and have no CCJs registered against them. Your guarantor must complete our Guarantor form, provide photographic ID and proof of their employment and salary as part of the approval process. Your guarantor will be credit checked during the process.
What documentation do I need to sign once I have completed the application process?
Once the application process has been completed with all of the information listed above being provided, you will need to sign a Tenancy Agreement. Our Tenancy Agreements are listed below and vary slightly depending upon which type of accommodation you have reserved. If you have a guarantor they will also need to sign your tenancy agreement.

How do I apply?
You can apply online or by visiting the Accommodation Office. Alternatively you can download an application form, direct debit mandate and guarantor form and post them to us at Customer Service Team, Hamstead Campus, 138 Friary Road, Handsworth Wood, Birmingham B20 1AP.
What is the bus pass offer?
If you reserve your room with us and agree to the rent within your AST contract being increased by £2.50 per week throughout your tenancy (£2.00 per week on a 51 week let) you will be eligible for an annual 2012/13 academic year "Travel West Midlands" Travel Card" (to a maximum value of £350 only). The refund will be in the form of cashback on production of your annual "Travel West Midlands" Travel Card during the first term of 2012/13 and providing that your rent has been paid for the first term of 2012/13 at least. The maximum refund in any circumstances will be £350 for the academic year 2012/13.
This offer is only available to students who contact us directly. Unfortunately if you reserve your room following an introduction from an agency you are not eligible for the bus pass offer - sorry!
